Melt-proof Summer Make-Up
Take the Time to Prime
Primer actually works – so take the time to put it on after you moisturize but before your foundation. This is the key to long-lasting foundation.
Silicone is the Way to Go
A light-weight silicone based foundation will act like a barrier between your skin and the outdoor humidity; preventing your foundation from seeping into your pores. This is a perfect solution for good coverage without an afternoon reapplication.
Creamy Shadows
Sweat and powders don’t mix, but sheer cream shadows tend to cake less in sweltering weather.
Stunt Shine
To reduce that afternoon sheen one gets when it’s warm outside, dust a translucent powder over your T-zone with a large fluffy brush.

Focus on Your Skin
Your makeup will only look as fabulous as your skin does. Professional facials are essential to keep your skin in tip-top shape. In addition, regular skin care at home is also recommended. Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize daily in order to keep your face hydrated and radiant! Don’t forget your sun screen. Tip: use a daily moisturizer with SPF like PTR oil free moisturizer or Eminence Vanilla, both available at Facelogic Redmond.
Use Bronzer Sparingly
Don’t over-do the fake tan look! It is all about the hint of color. Just fluff some bronzer over your cheekbones and along your jaw line.
Flushed Apples
Skin-warming cheek color will complete any look! Though, the older you are, be mindful that the rule of thumb for applying blush is to apply the color higher up on your cheekbones for instant definition.

Must Haves for Long Lusty Lashes
Eyelashes enhance your eyes which are unarguably the most important feature on your face. Long eyelashes are always in season and with these tips you will be on your way to long lusty lashes that every woman strives for.
Lashes to Die For:
Start at the root of your issue with an amazing product! Peter Thomas Roth’s Lashes To Die For. This patent pending complex improves your lash length, thickness and fullness. Vitamin A, C & E helps nourish and repair broken lashes while pro vitamin B5 moisturizes and nourishes.
Eye Lash Curler:
Curling your eyelashes will make your eyes look wider & brighter. For the best results use GloMinerals gloLash curler after heating the curler under a blow-dryer for no more than 5 seconds.
Eye Make-Up Remover:
Don’t torture your eyes by using the old fashioned soap and water to remove your eye make-up. Take care of the lashes you already have by using GloMinerals gloEye Make-Up Remover to quickly and easily remove any trace of eye make-up.

Glo Minerals Eye Revitalize
Thanks to Glo Minerals, we have the perfect solution for anyone who stays up too late the night before wanting to look fabulous (or just has chronic dark circles like our friend M. She said we could use her as an example, poor thing)
Another reason we love the stuff is because it’s colorless which is a fab feature for Spring/Summer as skin tones change when the sun (finally!) comes out to play. It’s a cream formulation that feels super-light and any skin tone/type can wear it.
Cucumber, squalane and hyaluronic acid cool and hydrate the skin while aloe and linoleic acids work to condition. Goldenseal and juniper offer a temporarily “lift” to the delicate eye areas, while light-reflecting minerals help diminish the appearance of fine lines and brighten the eyes.
So – whether you need help like M, or you have little crows’ feet you need to diminish, or just want to look more awake and bright-eyed, come on in and try it out today!

Makeup Tips for Spring 2009
I’m writing this curled up on my couch sipping hot tea and watching huge flakes of snow float from the sky. Can it really be mid-March—mere days from spring?
I need sun! I need warmth! And if not sun and warmth, then at least something fresh and new and preferably not colored as white as snow or gray as rain. You, too?
I say we create a little springtime beauty of our own. Harper’s Bazaar recently ran a piece on updating makeup for the season, and I’d like to share their tips.
Here’s to clean, hydrated faces touched with gorgeous color.
One of the hottest cheek colors this season is peach.
Hmm, doesn’t that sound nice? Just one warning: Because the color contains strong pigments, use a light hand. Just a bit below the apples of your cheeks will keep you looking fresh but not overdone.
Lips are still red, red, red!
The trick with this color, whether you choose a matte or glossy finish, is to keep the rest of your makeup subdued to let it really shine.
Get a lighter, brighter look with metallic eye shadows.
In shimmery palettes of gold and silver, many of these colors are quite translucent, which keeps eyes looking pretty not heavy.
Rim your eyes in dark liner on both top and bottom to make a statement.
Apply the rest of your makeup for a light, clean and natural appearance to create a dramatic focal point.
