Deep Breathing Gives You a Healthy Glow — and More!
You’re breathing. But are you breathing well?
If the answer is yes, you’re enhancing your health, lowering your blood pressure, reducing your stress and giving your complexion a healthy, rosy glow.
Unfortunately, lots of people don’t breath properly. And when we’re under stress – which is often — we tend to breathe more shallowly and may even hold our breath. This depletes our heart, brain and other organs of life-giving oxygen.
The solution? Simply practice deep breathing. Here’s how:
1. Sit comfortably with your shoulders relaxed.
2. Inhale through your nose, allowing your abdomen to rise rather than pulling your shoulders upward. This allows a fuller, more natural breath. Count to five as you inhale.
3. Now, exhale through your nose, again counting to five. Fell your lungs deflate, pushing out what is now stale carbon dioxide. Pause for two seconds at the end of your exhalation, and begin again for a fresh breath of air.
Repeat 5-10 times to feel better and be healthier. Couldn’t be easier!
How to Treat Enlarged Pores
Nothing wreaks your skin’s appearance quite like large pores. They’re easily clogged and give your complexion a rough texture and dull tone. Several treatments can reduce the appearance of large pores for brighter, healthier looking skin.
Exfoliation
As your skin naturally regenerates (a process that slows as you age), it sloughs off dead, dry cells. Pores “catch” them and get clogged. Gentle exfoliation will polish them away for smoother, brighter skin.
Microdermabrasion
This treatment gently roughs up the skin and stimulates collagen, which speeds the turnover of new, fresh skin.
Facials
Regular, professional skincare is the top method of managing enlarged pores. We always customize your facial to your exact needs, too, and are happy to extract blackheads—the result of clogged pores.
